Simikot is the administrative center of Humla where the airport Simikot is known. This is the transitional airport to access in the western part of Nepal. Whatever the reason that makes the airport well known is the gateway to Tibet tour, mainly in Kailash Mountain, the very famous in Tibet. Though several groups and the agencies organized the tour through this way, still the reach and facilities of the tourist standard is undeveloped. To reach in simikot the better way is either to catch flight from Nepalgung or trek from Rara Lake. Rara lake is a well known National Park where most of the marvelous herbal plants are discovered. With many unbeaten mountain the region has opened the faces. Now at the present government has given priority to the area and has been allowed many peaks to climb freely. Since the policy has been campaigned more than two new peaks have been climbed. Slowly and steadily it has been facilitated to tourist standard.

To reach in Jumala, basically one has to take flight from Nepalgunj or trek two or three days from Rara Lake. If taking the flight faster, trekking is more attractive. An alternative way to access is to combine trek to Lower Dolpa and visit Rara National Park. The area is referred to trek in group. Upper Dolpa and Upper mustang area is restricted and also is not allowed to trek alone.
