Gokyo Ri Trekking is popular trekking trail in Everest region. Gokyo Ri trekking is popular for mountain valleys and Gokyo Lake which is located 4750m high and the valley is full of the beautiful lakes and is the best approach to great Himalayan views of the Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse , Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cho Oyu , Mt. Makalu , Mt. Amadablam , Mt. Thamserku etc. On the way to Gokyo Ri Trekking the trekkers passes the beautiful villages of Sherpa who are known brave on climbing and expedition. The exploration of their culture and tradition is another attraction of the trekking route. Lying on the east of Everest Base Camp the valley has been presenting many excellent view of the giant, massive, white wild to the trekkers from the world. The Mountains are more spectacular, the Ngozumpa Glacier is the largest in the Nepal Himalaya and from a ridge above Gokyo, for 8000m peaks (Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu ) are visible at once. The view of the tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyo and Gyachung Kang (7922m) is one of the most dramatic panorama in Khumbu Himalaya. There are many options for additional exploration and high-altitude walking, including the crossing of cho La, 5420m-high pass into Khumbu if you want to extend your journeys in Everest trekking region.
