Around at the valley there are many spot which makes your experience more rich and exciting.  The Valley itself is like the museum and has been opening to the whole world. Following the narrow allies and roads one can grope most important culture, tradition and the arts inside on the shadow.

Place to See

Patan Durbar Square: As the city is named Lalitpur (city of art) one can guess the city and the arts scatter around it. The arts almost centralized either in the Palace or in the temples or Stupas. The cluster of the shrines on the territory of Durbar square proofing the statement and each of them are perfectly carved. The ancient palace of the Malla regime and the stone water sprout associated with the various legendry and the historical episodes each of them are expressed with the skill of art. The stone temple of Lord Krishna and the Royal bath is most popular among the other for its obscure stone and bronze carvings. If one visit the courtyard once he never forget the skill of that ancient anonymous artists

Krishna Temple: The temple is fully stone made temples and, for some extent, the style applied on carving and erecting the temples is considered the native one. The three story stone temples is combination temple of Hindu and Buddhist, which continues to educe high admiration from the art lovers. The idea applied on mounting the temple and combining both Hindu and Buddhist in a single temple is the idea which has not been found. Therefore the style of mounting temple seems strange and intricate in meaning. Paying attention in details the temple itself is like the puzzle box, making every visitor to brood over on its convoluted but charming finishing.

Red Machhendranath: The temple is located in the middle of the wide and spacious at the outer rim of the business hub. Each year when the festival concerning to it celebrates the temple will be taken around city. It is housed in durbar square for about six months. As it is to take around the city it is chariot like temple and colorful.

Pashupatinath Temple:  The golden color painted temple, well furnished with silver gate to its four sides is situated on the bank of holly river bagmati, just near by the TIA(Tribhuvan International Airport). It has been valued the most sacred and therefore, the devotees has belief that their way to heaven is opened if visited at least once. Almost daily the funeral and other ritual procession takes place near by the temples, opening the cultural life of the peoples and Hinduism is remarkable. Entrance of the non – Hinduism is prohibited strictly. Thus the visitors are requested to excurse and explore the procession right from the eastern bank of the river.

Boudhanath Stupa:  Boudhanath Stupa is situated 8 kilometers far from the center of Kathmandu and has been believed the biggest one in the world is built in octagonal styles. On the top of the dome the prime four pairs of Buddha’s eyes seem active enough to guard the peace and human’s prosperity. At the bottom rim of the dome the prayers wheels are inset and rotating from the morning, continuously. Around the dome there are numbers of monastery and shrines which are used by lamas.

Soyambhunath Stupa: Bouddhist Stupa that stands on the small hill top inside the valley is situated 4km far from the center of City. Making step upward on well maintained concreted ladder the visitors feels the smell of green lush around it. The cardinal four pairs of eyes of Buddha are watching the righteous behavior and human prosperity. The spot is very popular. From the top of the hill visitors can peep the valley out. It has been believed that the stupa is 2000 years old and is built hemi spherically with the brick. Copper gilded conical spiral on the top of the Stupa features the universe as well the symbol of human body. The spot is familiar with another name “Monkey Temples” because monkeys are inhabiting around.

With all above mentioned spot there are many more things the visitor can enjoy. The Tibetan camp which is set up on the outskirt of the city is also with full of stupas and shrines. They have an authentic souvenir shops the original handicraft. They sell the original Tibetan handicrafts of bronze, silver, beaten copper miniature and the jewellery with renowned hand weaving Tibetan carpet. The other scenic monuments and temples called Mahaboudha, Rudra Varna Mahabihar etc. All of these are with full of arts on each piece of bricks that is used to mound the temples. Outer wall of the temple or inner wall and ceiling of it the breathtaking skill of arts are plated.
