KaliGandaki River Rafting

The origin of the river is from Tibet and flows down through the world’s deepest gorge between to giant mountain Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The Hinduism has direct relation with river and you can see the pristine beauty of the nature with the end of one’s life on the bank of the river where the funeral procession takes place. The river every where is supposed holy that’s why most of the human activities vividly ends at the rivers.

The name of the river is deprived from the name of the Goddess Kali, therefore, an auspicious place to cremate. With all these exploration you will come to see the people working in river, who sluice and pan the gravel of the river bed and gather miniscule amounts of the metal, that is, gold.

The environment around the river is admirable and, therefore, is rewarding for bird watching. Not only the bird but you may encounter with mongoose, monkeys, leopard and otters, around the river.

Rafting Itinerary

Day 01 Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu
Day 02 Pokhara to rafting put-in point, take lunch and camp at Modi river
Day 03 Rafting on ¾ class rapid section around Seti Beni village
Day 04 Continuing rafting on rapid section and end program at Andhi River confluence and drive to Pokhara.
Day 05 Back to kathmandu or to the next destination.
