The origin of the river is from Tibet and flows down through the world’s deepest gorge between to giant mountain Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The name of the river is deprived from the name of the Goddess Kali, therefore, an auspicious place to cremate. With all these exploration you will come to see the people working in river, who sluice and pan the gravel of the river bed and gather miniscule amounts of the metal, that is, gold.

The environment around the river is admirable and, therefore, is rewarding for bird watching. Not only the bird but you may encounter with mongoose, monkeys, leopard and otters, around the river.
