Nepal Expedition: Mt. Kanchanjunga(8586m) Expedition from Nepal side

Kanchanjunga is the third highest Mountain in the world and lies in the east of Nepal. The massive mountain, with an altitude of 8586m/28,170ft, was first climbed by British Team leaded by Charles Evans. In the region other summits consist. One of them is Yalung Khang with an altitude of 8420m.

Before 1850 the area was explored by the British Botanist JD Hooker, and visited the more than twice and mapped it with plenty of photographs till 1900, and was refreshed by Douglas, with more acceptable authoritative value.
The contribution to the region was continuing even later and almost it took place from India sikkim side. Including the three times unsuccessful attempt of the summit by Germen Team the other challenger also failure on the project. With some casualties the sikkim side was closed and Nepal side was open in 1955, and with the newly opened route a British team led by Charles Evans made first succeed following through the glacier of Yalung Khang.

Later on the project was succeed one after another. 1967, 1973 and 1974 the serial climbing project by Japanese team added the history of succeed.  And in 1975 the unfulfilled dream of the Germen Team was fulfilled.

What includes in the package program price?

  • 5night accommodation with bed and breakfast in three stars or equivalent hotel in Kathmandu.
  • satellite phone Gamow bag (prevent the problem of altitude sickness)
  • on sharing basis guide cook, kitchen boy and other helper
  • emergency oxygen – Mask regulator ( unsealed, payable for full amount)
