Expedition in Nepal: Annapurna I Expedition (8,091m- 26,545ft) 2010

Annapurna I is a stunning massif being a 10th in the world and the ridges is 55 km long, arising to the east of Kaligandaki river, the deepest gorge in the world. The deepest gorge separates Annapurna region and Dhaulagiri Mountain in to two. Becoming the first 8000m peak, in 1950 Maurice Herzog and Luis Lachenal of French Nationality has successfully climbed the mountain holding the record of first climber in Mt Annapurna I.

Though many route has been discovered each year, still the project is considered the difficult one. Climbing the left pillars of south wall a British team led by Chris made successful ascent. The route through little bit east from main summit was used by Maciej Berbeka and Bugslaw in 1981 and Reinhold took the northwest in 1985. A notable expedition team of woman climbed the mountain en route to the east ridges.

Whatever the route is, Annapurnas are thought the most challenging and dangerous peak to climb due to peaks prone to the high rate of fatality.

Comparison to the other expedition the route is very popular for its great natural scene and by the point view of compassing culture, tradition, life style of the people and different way of believing in religion. Different tribes are living together with different in religion and culture norms, making high above the merit of co-operating than what ever else. Including the whole Annapurna ranges with fishtail mountain the region is even famous for the view of Dhaulagiri which is separated by the world deepest gorge kaligandaki river.
