Nepal Expedition: Ama Dablam (6812m)Expedition 2010, Ama Dablam

Mt. Ama Dablam (6812m) is one of the most beautiful mountains in Nepal. Considering the Hights of Mountain it's lower than 7000m but valued as other High Mountain. For the sucessful Expedition Mountaineers need to have the past experience on Himalayan High Passes Activities or on High Altitude Trekking which qualify the climbers capable on steep rock climbing. As comes the icy mountain the rock is naturally and unexpectedly steep and slippery. To climb the mountain three camp sites above the base camp are needed to set up, among which the first is considered difficult for its old grassy moraine ridges passing through a saddle and then turning to north climbing up rocky bowl and climb the ridge frequently alternating the sides along the fixed lines to the camp II. Climbing the sever rock on the way to the camp leads to the top of a yellow tower. The route from camp second changes significantly where the route leads to the ramp and finally to an amphitheatre. Proceeding the route passing through the amphitheatre, and crossing over the steep snowy icy runnel along the snow ridge brings the climber to the third camp. The summit from camp III needs steep climb to on snow and ice to the right of a huge hanging glacier.

Each and every expedition need the past experience. Though most parts of the rock is with fixed rope Good skills on rock climbing and has to have technically advanced.
