The newly launched adventurous sport paragliding is still not much broadening in Nepal. In the guide book least information is noted.

In fact the sport is getting its popularity among the tourist. Floating and sharing the airspace with birds high above the tree line 3900m form the sea level one can really compete with the Himalayan vultures, eagles. Just turning the head a bit the adventure seeker can dominate the grandeur view of villages, monasteries, temples, lakes, jungle and the breathtaking majestic views of the Himalayan ranges. The sport depends on the climate. Topography and the climate in Nepal is the ideal one. Incredibly, milder than summer alpine is constant, thus, the atmosphere for the purpose is considered excellent.
Especially the sport is offered in the south of the country, the Mahabharat Range of the hills which is considered the best spot for the program. Another famous spot is Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside town at the foot of the white wilder Annapurna.

Sarangkot, the mount with the height of 1592m, near by Pokhara city, is the take off point. On the foothill of this hill the beautiful Phewa lake is reflecting the Annapurna and Machhapuchre, on the background of green forest on its shore. All with these the point offers the prime views of sunset and sunrise. As you take off and fly over the lakes and Himalayas you will land by the lake.
